I don’t take commission at the moment. The reason is simply that I feel it doesn’t set the right relationship for art to flourish. Instead what I’ve settled on is something akin to planting a seed. The process looks like this. Get in touch. Buy me a drink. Share your idea. Be my friend. If what comes out of our discussion resonates with me I’ll draw and think about it. Eventually I’ll sculpt it because that’s the only way to get it out of my head. Then you can consider giving it a new home if you also like it.

This may sound esoteric, and in some way it is. And yet this is the best process I can imagine so far. You’re not buying a piece from me. You’re not hiring me to sculpt for you. This is not a typical client/seller relationship. If you choose to reach out, you’re mainly setting yourself up for making a new friend. And potentially hosting a beautiful piece of art.
