My First Orange

This was my first orange alabaster and as such it holds a special importance for me. I remember wrestling at the time over what kind of design I should attempt and always came back to how beautiful the stone is and what a shame it’d be to distract with shapes that are too complex. The respect for the inherent beauty of stone is something that I still feel today. It was already pretty without you; do your best to not introduce chaos where it need not be.
