Orange Medium Swirl

Orange alabaster is a special stone to me. It’s translucency and color is unique. I enjoy the contrast between what the raw stone is and the abnormal swirls and loops you can carve it into. I have often felt constrained by the stone with this one as I tried to give it flowing curves, sometime there just wasn’t enough stone. The endless battle between what’s in your head and what reality allows you.
